Footsore Norman Cavalrymen Thrusting Overarm

The Norman cavalry had developed to be one of the most hard-hitting cavalry forces in the Dark/early Middle Ages. The combination of good training, good equipment and good horses meant they were a real force to be reckoned with from England to Italy and beyond.

We have supplied our fighters here with hand weapons from pack 03-WEP-02 to show you the variety possible - these models come with spears.

Pack contains four different mounted figures all different, three different heavy horses plus one duplicate, four kite shields and four spears.

The crossbow was growing in popularity in Europe if not in England, it was more complicated to make than the bow but less training was required to become proficient.

We have depicted our warriors with an early crossbow, nowhere near as powerful as the models of latter centuries but still deadly enough for the church to want to ban them as ungodly.

Our figures come with separate crossbows and are bareheaded warriors so they can be used for almost any early medieval European army although they have the typical 'Norman' haircut around the back.
